Positive Development Alliance has an answer.
Good training looks easy from between. Great parenting too, in this case. But everyone involved in the sport of youth knows is far more complicated than that.
Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) appears to help ensure coaching – and teenage sports in general – not only look easy, but also has a positive impact on children who gather for training, games, competitions, and tournaments. But in that process, things are not always black and white.
Enter: Ask PCA
Moment Right Things that must be done are not always clear, or when, during training or games, the purpose of healthy competition arises against complex social dynamics, emotions charged, or unclear standards, is normal to have questions. That is one of the reasons why Ask PCA – Positive Development Alliance Services – Has received hundreds of questions for many years. Most come from coaches and parents who try to serve young people as well as possible, but do not always know how.
The answer comes from PCA staff, or PCA coach who leads the workshop directly throughout the United States, and PCA guest experts occasionally. Less care for XS and OS, ask PCA usually answer questions that come to interpersonal relationships with nuances among coaches, parents, athletes, administrators, and officials who make youth sports work.
Questions from the coach and parents include:
- What do you do when your most talented player has the worst attitude?
- When is it right to base playing time on skills?
- What is the right age for the travel team and slaughtering players?
- Should parents intervene when the coach is unfair?
- My child tried hard, but did not see time playing.
